A.A. Weiss is the author of Lenin's Asylum, a travel memoir, and The Apologist, a novel. His essays and short stories have twice received special mention in the Pushcart Prize Anthology and he's received grants from the Bronx Council on the Arts, the Maryland State Arts Council, and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. He holds an MFA from the University of Texas at El Paso, and currently lives in Washington, D.C.
