A.A. Weiss is the author of the novel The Apologist (2021) and the travel memoir Lenin's Asylum (2018). His essays and short stories have appeared in various journals and twice received special mention in the Pushcart Prize Anthology. A recipient of grants from the Bronx Council on the Arts and the Maryland State Arts Council, he’s an alum of the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop in Fiction and a current MFA candidate at the University of Texas at El Paso. He lives in Washington, D.C.
